SHARING SUMMER CANAPÉS

Warmer days, meals outside, and an endless array of outdoor activities what’s not to love about summer?

We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the Summer Solstice than hosting a party to share this joyous occasion with friends. But fear not because this quick little recipe couldn’t be any more summer friendly and won’t be keeping you in doors and away from the sun for too long. Combining puff pastry and our Ready to Eat Sicilian Lemon Salmon flakes you can whip up these bite sized summer treats in a matter of minutes.

Unroll a sheet of puff pastry cutting out small circular shapes – preferably with a cutter to make sure each horderves is evenly sized – we don’t want any fights breaking out over these delicious delights!

Place a small portion of our Ready to Eat Sicilian Lemon Salmon flakes in the centre of each pastry leaving a small border around the edge of each. Brush the exposed pastry with egg or milk to give your pastry an extra shiny finish and then place in the oven for 25-30 minutes – the perfect amount of time to have a mini siesta before your guests arrive!

Once your pastry looks golden with enough puff to please the local bakery, drizzle some of our delightfully refreshing Sicilian lemon and dill mayonnaise dressing over your mini bites of heaven. Garnish with a decorative sprig of dill and you’re ready to serve up these mini bites of heaven.
