Last Christmas we gave you our heart-y roasted root veg recipe; this year we bring you the perfect sage and onion stuffing. Merry Fish-mas everyone!
What you need:
○ 1 large onion
○ 2 stalks of celery (optional)
○ 1 clove crushed clove of garlic
○ 3.5oz of breadcrumbs
○ 1tsp dried sage
○ 2-3 tbsp milk
○ 1oz butter
○ 1 egg
How to make it:
Step 1: Heat the and celery and onion in 1 tbsp of oil until soft making sure the onion does not start to brown.
Step 2: Place the onion, sage and breadcrumbs in a bowl and stir thoroughly adding seasoning to taste.
Step 3: Add the beaten egg into the mixture and stir to ensure the whole batter is evenly coated in egg.
Step 4: Gradually add milk to soften the mixture. Once you are satisfied your mixture looks firm but not soggy avoid adding any extra milk.
Step 5: Pop the mixture in your favourite festive (over proof) dish and bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes until perfectly browned
