HOW TO MAKE HOLLANDAISE SAUCE

Posted 1 May 2019 by The Saucy Fish Co.

Hollandaise sauce perfectly pairs with fish and eggs, but have you ever tried to make your own?

Tune in to the video below to find out exactly how you can. You might have heard that’s it difficult to make - but it’s actually much easier than you would think.

How to make your own hollandaise sauce:

1. Use your hands to separate the eggs, letting the whites run through your fingers whilst you retain the yolk.

2. Whisk the egg yolks together in a bowl.

3. Pour lemon juice and white wine vinegar to a pan and bring to the boil, then add to the bowl of egg yolks in a steady and slow stream. Whisk again.

4. Melt butter in a pan and then add to the bowl with the egg yolk mixture - add very slowly to avoid curdling. Keep whisking and hey presto, you’re ready to serve with fish.
