SAUCY MAGIC BALL REVEALS FOOD PREDICTIONS FOR 2019

As bright colours, superfood bowls and cacao powder decorated dining tables across the country in 2018, we couldn’t help but ponder what the new year has in store for our dinner plates… so (of course) we’ve put together some predictions.

Marine Munchies: If you love sea-based snacks (i.e. seaweed) then this one’s for you, as sea greens are about to skyrocket in popularity. Shoppers will be exploring new depths of ocean flavours, including varieties of algae and kelp… yes, say hello kelp noodles. Puffed snacks made from water lily seeds, crispy snackable salmon skins with omega-3 and kelp jerkies are some of the taste sensations you can expect to see.

The Rise of Snacking: The lines of breakfast, lunch and dinner have long been blurred! And 2019 is only going to bring more meal time mash ups, as consuming small snack-like meals more frequently will rise in popularity. It’s been working for the Spanish all this time.
