It’s well known that the month of January can leave even the most active and high spirited of us feeling slightly blue. The New Year countdown is over, the champagne is finished and we’re all a little sluggish... plus the dreary weather doesn’t help matters!
Whatever the fishue, here at Saucy we’ve looked into the best methods to get you feeling great again – and it turns out digging into your favourite fish could be the answer.
That down in the dumps feeling can in fact be improved by filling up on oily fish. As we all know, fish are jam-packed with nutritional benefits, including omega-3 fatty acids, high-quality protein, vitamins and minerals. Therefore, consuming more fish (especially salmon) nourishes us, which helps to stabillise our mood and fight off those unhappy thoughts.
When all the fish is finished, get stuck into a new book, go on a crisp winter walk, get your endorphins flowing with a run, or just enjoy a little bit of you time. These simple activities can help to rejuvenate you after a hectic December.
