BURNS NIGHT SUPPERPosted 7 January 2016 by The Saucy Fish Co.
Join in the Burn’s Night celebrations on 25th January, raising a glass of Scotch to Robert Burns with a traditional Burns Night supper:
Cock-a-leekie soup: is a classic Scottish broth made up of chicken, leeks, celery, carrots, parsley and black pepper – the perfect winter started to kick off your supper.
Haggis: is a staple part of any Buns night supper. This traditional Scottish pudding can be baked or simmered, is available at many butchers and can also be ordered online. Or if you’re feeling adventurous haggis can also be made at home.
Neeps and tatties: more commonly referred to as swedes and potatoes, are a must-have accompaniment to haggis. Ideally this dish needs to be prepared a day in advance, we like this recipe from our friends over at BBC Good Food.
