A FISH-MAS FILM MARATHONPosted 7 December 2017 by The Saucy Fish Co.
It’s a frosty Sunday afternoon – do we want to go outside? Of course we don’t. We’d rather get wrapped up on the sofa, with a stack of Christmas films and some mince pies to munch on! (We won’t eat the whole pack, we promise…) But with an abundance of possible films, old and new, to chose from – how the Saint Nick do we decide?
Saucy to the rescue...
Below you’ll find a collection of Xmas classics to make you belly laugh, reach for the tissues and just generally feel all that festive fuzziness inside. The perfect Sunday? We think so too.
Love Actually: You can expect romance and festivity by the sack-ful in this one, from first loves to last loves, to once in a life time loves. Plus, there are plenty of rude laughs for those that are not overly sentimental.
The Grand Budpaest Hotel: This Wes Anderson masterpiece offers razer sharp wit, beautiful aesthithcs and a stellar cast, to tell the tale of the Grand Budapest Hotel - a popular European ski resort, supervised by concierge Gustave. So, what happens when one of the elderly guests mysteriously dies? Well, if you watch it you will find out.
Home Alone: We all know (and love) this one, so we had to include it, didn’t we? Plus it’s a sure fire way to add some hearty laughs to your film marathon.
It’s a Wonderful Life: Every Christmas film marathon has to end with a biggie. And this is probably the biggest, biggie of them all. As one of the most famous Christmas films of all time, it was a must on our list - mainly because it’s more than just heartwarming, it also teaches us a lot about life, whether that be that perspective can change everything or that we should always look for the best in people! Oh, we tearing up just thinking about it.
